Seattle Cottage is located 3.5 miles from Seahurst Park, a 178-acre salt water park; 3.5 miles from the Museum of Flight; 5 miles from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) and 7.5 miles from Safeco Field, home of the Seattle Mariners, and Qwest Stadium, home of the Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Sounders.

The historic Seattle Waterfront, including the Seattle Aquarium as well as Pike Place Market are just over 8 miles from the Seattle Cottage.

10 miles from Seattle Cottage is the Seattle Center, home of the Seattle Space Needle, the Pacific Science Center, Experience Music Project and the Seattle Opera, Seattle Repertory Theatre and Pacific Northwest Ballet. Key Arena, also located at the Seattle Center is the home court of the WNBA’s Seattle Storm each summer.

A few minutes further to north Seattle is the world renowned Woodland Park Zoo.

If you are coming to Seattle for an event at the University of Washington, the main campus is about 10 miles away, including the University of Washington Medical Center and the Husky athletic complex.

If you are looking for a place to stay while attending to someone receiving medical treatment, Seattle’s “Pill Hill”, where Swedish Medical Center, Harborview Medical Center and Virginia Mason Medical Center are all located, is about 9 miles away, adjacent to downtown Seattle.

The Seattle Center, downtown Seattle and the Seattle Waterfront are all easily and directly accessed using the new Central Link Light Rail. It is an affordable and easily accessible alternative to driving and parking in Seattle (the Tukwila Int’l. Boulevard Station is just 10 minutes from the Seattle Cottage). Parking at the light rail station is free and the total commute time is less than 40 minutes.

From downtown, an extensive bus system can take you anywhere in the city on the same ticket you used for the light rail at no additional charge. The Monorail whisks you from Westlake Center to the Seattle Center for an additional fare.

For outdoor adventure and sightseeing away from the city, a 90-minute drive takes you to Mount Rainier National Park while a pleasant ferry ride lands you on the scenic Olympic Peninsula in about an hour .
